... Suatu pagi di Bandar Lampung,

kami menjemput seseorang di bandara. Orang itu sudah tua, kisaran 60 tahun. Sebut saja si bapak. Si bapak adalah pengusaha asal Singapura, dengan logat bicara gaya melayu, english, (atau singlish) beliau menceritakan pengalaman2 hidupnya kepada kami yang masih muda. Mulai dari pengalaman bisnis, spiritual, keluarga, bahkan percintaan hehehe..

"Your country is so rich!".

Ah biasa banget kan denger kata2 begitu. Tapi tunggu dulu.. "Indonesia doesn't need the world, but the world needs Indonesia", "Everything can be found here in Indonesia, u don't need the world", "Mudah saja, Indonesia paru2 dunia. Tebang saja hutan di Kalimantan, dunia pasti kiamat. Dunia yang butuh Indonesia !".

Korean Air jet scrapes tail on landing at Tokyo

TOKYO : A Korean Air jet carrying 387 people scraped its tail on landing at Tokyo's Narita airport in high winds on Monday, causing the closure of the main runway for more than an hour, airport officials said.

14 Indonesian in S Korea Affected by Swine Flu

Foreign Ministry Spokesman Teuku Faizasyah confirmed on Saturday that a number of Indonesians attending an Asian Choir Contest in South Korea had contracted the H1N1 disease.

"A report saying that a number of Indonesians have been infected with the virus is true," Faizasyah said but he could not yet give further details on the matter.

Earlier reports said that 14 Indonesian taking part in the choir contest in Changwon city, South Korea, were confirmed on Saturday by the local health officials to have been suffering from swine flu.

Reuters reported fourteen Indonesians attending a choir contest in South Korea were confirmed H1N1 patients on Saturday in the country’s largest daily confirmations as organizers rushed to send more than 1,000 participants home.

While the vacationers enjoying a peaceful hot summer day, a mega-tsunami is headed straight for Haeundae.

3. Track every penny you spend.
4. Play mind games. Ask yourself: “Is this a want or a need?” Try to discover what is motivating the purchase.
5. Avoid temptation. Avoid the places where you’d normally spend. The best way to avoid spending money is to not enter the shop. If you tend to spend money at big department stores, then stay out of them.
6. Ask for help. Beating an addiction can be tough when you’re going it alone. Seek support from your friends and family. Ask your spouse to help (And be open when they call you on your actions — don’t get angry.)

The good news is you can overcome this. You can break free from emotional spending. The bad news is that it’s going to take work. It won’t happen overnight. You’ll make mistakes, and you’ll backslide. When you do, don’t give up. Don’t beat yourself up because you bought a new purse. You’re just a human. Keep focused on your long-term goal, and resolve to do better next time.

The Wedding of Lee Sun Kyun & Jeon Hye Jin

On the evening of May 23, Lee Sun Kyun and Jeon Hye Jin entered marriage after six years of dating. The wedding ceremony was officiated by the head pastor of Segyero (World Vision Community) Church. Actor Oh Man Seok and Lee Sun Kyun’s close friend Hong Sung Bo were the evening’s MCs. The congratulatory song was sung by Tearliner (whose song – “Ocean Travel” – Lee sang in Coffee Prince), Zitten, and Kim Chang Wan (who played Mr. Hong in Coffee Prince). Actor Lee Sang Woo made the congratulatory speech.

The newlyweds plan to postpone their honeymoon until late this summer, following the completion of Lee Sun Kyun’s drama Triple. Jeon Hye Jin is currently about 11 weeks pregnant with the couple’s first child.

Mourners, police fill streets for Roh funeral

Mourners and police filled the streets of Seoul on Friday as the hearse carrying ex-President Roh Moo-hyun arrived in the capital for his funeral nearly a week after he leapt to his death amid a widening corruption scandal.

Roh, 62, died May 23 after throwing himself off a cliff behind his home in the village of Bongha. Roh, president from 2003 to 2008, recently had been questioned about claims he and his family accepted $6 million in bribes during his presidency.

He denied the bribery allegations, but the accusations weighed heavily on a man who prided himself on his record as a "clean" politician in a country with a tradition of corruption.

Roh's suicide stunned the nation of 49 million, where the outspoken Roh - who rose from humble roots - was known as a leader for the people and a favorite among younger South Koreans. Though many were critical of his antiestablishment ways, others rallied around his efforts to promote democracy, fight corruption and facilitate rapprochement with North Korea.

The convoy bearing Roh's body had started out early Friday from Bongha for the five-hour journey to Seoul for a state-organized funeral in the courtyard of the stately 14th-century Gyeongbok Palace.

Security was tight in central Seoul, with thousands of police lining the streets near the funeral site. Scores more police stood guard inside with black funeral ribbons affixed to their white shirts.

Inside, A 2 1/2-meter-tall portrait of Roh was placed at the altar in a bed of 1 million chrysanthemums laid in the shape of a Rose of Sharon, South Korea's national flower.

President Lee Myung-bak and former President Kim Young-sam were among the 2,500 attending the funeral in the heart of the ancient capital. The royal palace was the site of the 2006 funeral for former President Choi Kyu-hah, which Roh attended as president.

Some people waving yellow handkerchiefs were turned away. Yellow was Roh's campaign color. Large monitors were set up across Seoul for the tens of thousands more mourners.

Earlier Friday, Roh's family attended a brief religious service outside the community center where the late ex-leader's body lay in state. Son Roh Gun-ho bowed deeply, then took his father's portrait to his home for a last look at the village the late leader loved and returned to after leaving office in February 2008.

Roh's wife, Kwon Yang-sook, clad in a black traditional "hanbok" dress, followed solemnly, held by their daughter, Roh Jeong-yeon.

Thousands of villagers turned out to send Roh off to Seoul, many tossing yellow paper airplanes as the hearse blanketed with white chrysanthemums traveled through the streets of Bongha. Yellow was Roh's campaign color.

After the ceremony in the capital, the funeral procession was scheduled to march down central Seoul's main boulevard for a "people's ceremony" at City Hall. Hours before the ceremony, thousands of mourners filled the plaza, many holding yellow balloons, wearing yellow paper hats and some with yellow handkerchiefs tied to their wrists.

Roh was the country's first president to have his own Internet-based fan club, and a thousand people were chosen through the Internet to join the procession through Seoul, the Yonhap news agency reported.

Roh's body was to be cremated later Friday. Roh, in a note to his family left on his computer before his suicide, asked that he be cremated and a small gravestone erected near his home.

His death triggered a wave of grief across South Korea. For days, South Koreans - many tearful and bearing white chrysanthemums, a traditional symbol of mourning - have lined up to pay their respects to Roh.

About 1 million mourners made the pilgrimage to Roh's rural hometown to pay their respects. Mourning sites set up across the nation drew an additional 2 million people, reports said.

North Korean leader Kim Jong Il, who held a summit with Roh in 2007, also sent condolences, just before carrying out an underground nuclear test that earned wide internationl condemnation.

At the South Korean Embassy in Washington, U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton praised Roh as a champion of democracy and human rights.

"President Roh's dedication to democracy and human rights are values the United States and the Republic of Korea share," Clinton said Thursday, ccording to Yonhap. "I know this is a very sad moment for the people of Korea and we share that sadness with you."

Ok, My bro in law is in Korea now and that pic above was the first food he had when he just arrived there o_o Honestly, it doesn't look good at all T.T and he also said taste was just so so... Makes me wondering...Was he eating @ the wrong place then? ^^; I asked my friend and he said young people don't like that kind of noodles... so, Was my bro in law with the wrong person then? ㅋㅋㅋ Anyway... lots of korean traditional foods are for a group, not just for one person ( i just know this)..For example, if u eat a chicken dish, u can't have it alone coz the food is too much. So, in a restaurant, u'll order XXXX big/medium/small dish, not two dishes of XXXX. And u'll eat better foods in Seoul, but in Seoul food is expensive. In Seoul, u pay more and get less food. But many nice foods there... you can go have chicken soup and then beef rib barbecue with kind of sweet and salty (soy sauce) seasoning. Beef rib barbecue is good but it'll be expensive coz up-scale restaurants use korean beef not imported beef, and korean beef is really expensive. 200g of beef rib will cost more than 30000 won (US$30) and it's really small ^^; Umm.. other nice foods are sea food broth or sea food barbecue? But anyway, beef rib barbecue will be good choice, coz kinna similar taste with indonesian? Rib barbecue uses sweet seasoning and you can get it @ a barbecue place - the more upscale, the better the taste. If you like sushi, there will be a sushi buffet in seoul, sushi bars. Ah, and kimbab is like traditional fast food, not a real meal, it's like hamburgers. So, recomendation is chicken soup and beef rib barbecue :P Esp. if you're Indonesian Muslim :P

Jang Ja Yeon (장자연) commits suicide

DO you know her? If you're now watching the KBS Series BOF (Boys Before Flowers) she plays as one of the girls in the Jin-Sun-Mi trio. I was really surprised when i watched this news from KBS. The police revealed that “Jang Ja Yeon was discovered to have committed suicide by her sister today at 7:30PM who reported the discovery to the police,” and “Jang Ja Yeon died by hanging herself at the staircase and no suicide notes or any other effect has been found so far.”

Close friends of Jang Ja Yeon say, “Recently Jang Ja Yeon was facing contract renewal problems with her management company and deeply troubled by problems in the drama among other things,” and also, “Today at 2:30PM, there was a phone call in which she said it’s too difficult and I want to die.”

Hearing the sudden sad news of Jung Ja Yeon’s suicide, Lee Min Ho, Koo Hye Sun, Kim Bum, Kim Joon and the rest of the cast of ‘Boys Over Flowers’ plunged into shock.
